Global Poker Compared to Other Casinos
I consider myself to be a dab hand at poker and whilst I'm nowhere near a pro, I do enjoy new concepts when it comes to my favourite game. And I was pleasantly surprised with Global Poker which combines the most loved card game with sweepstakes gambling. This makes the platform highly suitable for players in the US where real money gambling can be prohibited. You can still get your poker kicks and exchange your sweeps for a range of prizes to suit you. The selection of games is varied and I particularly liked the Sit & Go’s for ease and speed. The tournament frequency isn’t too bad and the site has a steady stream of traffic through it. I enjoyed reviewing Global Poker and I hear that casino games and slots are also now available. Making this site a great destination for budding poker players and casino fans alike.
Global Poker is a social poker platform owned and operated by VGW Holdings, one of the first companies that started social sweepstake gaming. VGW, which was founded by Laurence Escalante in 2010 as a platform for social gaming and entertainment, launched Chumba Casino in 2012 and LuckyLand Slots in 2018. After the massive success of Chumba, they launched Global Poker in 2016, allowing players to play a variety of social poker games. Global Poker only offers a few variants of social poker, but they offer an exciting alternative poker experience to players who don't want to go down the traditional poker route.

Development of Global Poker
Global Poker is owned and operated by VGW GP Limited which is part of the larger VGW Holdings group.
Laurence Escalante founded VGW in 2010 and launched 2 successful online casinos in both 2012 and 2018. Global Poker was established in 2016 and became one of very few social poker platforms at the time.
There haven’t been that many developments in Global Poker since it was launched. It retains its user-friendly feel and sleek logo. The games collection is added to - but at a slow pace. And there are still only a few poker variants to choose from.
How to Register at Global Poker
Registering an account at Global Poker is very easy. Simply select the 'Register' option on the top right corner, right beside the 'Login' option, which will open up a registration form that will ask you for the following information:
First Name
Last Name
E-mail Address
Nickname
Address
Date of Birth
To redeem your prizes, you must first verify your ID.
Global Poker Software
Global Poker is an entirely browser-based game, which means it has no application for iOS, Android, or Windows, but it is compatible with almost all the browsers that can be run on these devices. For phones, it can be launched quickly on a mobile web browser with an interface compatible with just that.
Games at Global Poker
Several categories are offered on Global Poker, including:
Ring Games
The following games are offered on Global Poker:
No-Limit Texas Hold’em: In No-limit Poker, the players may play on any number over the minimum—even all of the chips on the table, which is called the all-in play. On each play, you can either call or raise, but each raise should be at least equal to the play called by the previous player.
Fixed Limit Texas Hold’em: In Fixed Limit Texas Hold’em, whatever is played between the first two rounds must be equal to the amount put forward in the big blind. This is called the small play. In the next two rounds, the amount played must be equal to at least twice the amount of big blind, which in social poker terms is called the big play.
Pot-Limit Omaha: Pot-limit Omaha is simply the Omaha game in which you can play from a specific amount up to the limit of the whole pot.
Here, both the 6-max (maximum 4-6 players) and 9-max (maximum 7-9 players) or full ring are available with stakes starting from 5/10 to 250K/500k Gold Coins and 0.05/0.1Sweeps Coins to 10/20 Sweeps Coins. The time to start a game depends on what you play.
Texas Hold’em
Texas Hold‘em is simply the most famous variant of poker where each player is dealt two cards face down known as the hole cards, and five community cards are later dealt in three different stages, all of them facing up. The first three community cards that are dealt face up in the first stage are called 'the flop'. The fourth card dealt in the second stage is called 'the turn'. Finally, in the last stage, the fifth and final card is dealt, which is known as the 'river card', and the player with the best hand wins.
Omaha
Omaha is similar to Texas Hold’em, but the difference is that the players are dealt four cards instead of two. The player has to make the best pair from exactly two of them with the community cards, but the thing is that the player has to choose just 3 out of 5 community cards.
Sit N’ Go
Sit n' Go’s are available for No-limit Poker and Pot-limit Omaha. No-limit Hold’em can be played in 6-max or 9-max formats on up to three tables. The 9-max form is also known as full-ring poker if the dealer is the 10th player involved. The minimum tournament entries start from 1000 GC to 20,000 GC or 0.5 SC to 10SC. If you keep the tournament entries to a minimum, the games might start very early, but if you keep it high, it takes a very long time to start a game unless you are sitting during peak traffic hours.
Multi-Table Tournaments
Global Poker offers Multi-Table Tournaments daily for Pot and Fixed-limit Omaha and No-limit Poker. The tournament entries range from 0.11 Sweeps Coins to 0.33 Sweeps Coins, but due to low traffic on the tournaments, the pool is not always high as expected from a tournament.
Apart from that, there are two weekly events at Global Poker. The first one is Sunday Teaser, where the minimum tournament entries are 110 Sweeps Coins with a guaranteed prize pool of 20,000 Sweeps Coins. The second one is Sunday Scrimmage, where the minimum tournament entries are 218 Sweeps Coins, and the guaranteed prize pool is a whopping 50,000 Sweeps Coins. The ticket prices for these events start from 22 Sweeps Coins to 33 Sweeps Coins.
Global Poker Slots
Good news to everyone! From now on, all Global Poker fans won't have to go anywhere else whenever they want to take a breather from playing poker and other table games.
You now have the option to play slots at global poker completely free; that's right, you will be able to play slot titles such as Crusader's Gold, The Big GoREELa, Atlantis, and Hypernova.
This is another reason we consider VGW to be such a powerful company inside the iGaming industry, and one to look out for continuously since they are constantly growing and improving the player's experience in any of their operators.celebrity challenge

How Does Global Poker Make Money?
There's no purchase necessary to enter sweepstakes, which makes some players wonder what Global Poker's business model consists of. Global Poker makes money by selling virtual coins known as Gold Coins.
These are used as game tokens and cannot be used to redeem cash prizes. Along with these, they may offer free sweepstake entries via Sweeps Coins, which cannot be purchased and are often available as a FREE bonus when you purchase Gold Coins. If you win with Sweeps Coins, you can redeem for cash prizes!
Is Global Poker Trustworthy?
