WSOP is a market-leading online poker platform that houses a wide range of poker games, poker tournaments and an exclusive gaming experience that rewards players consistently for their play.

Introduction To WSOP

World Series of Poker (WSOP) is a global phenomenon in the world of poker, boasting millions of players, exclusive tournaments, and huge offers and prizes for players eager to try their hand and test their wit at poker. Yet even though WSOP has reached dizzying heights in popularity, is it a platform worth signing up for as a poker player? Read on to find out!

What's The Welcome Bonus At WSOP?

Brand new WSOP players can claim a generous set of bonuses, including:

  • $50 Free Play: $25 on sign-up and $25 upon completing the first deposit.
  • 100% Match Deposit Bonus of up to $1,000: New players can claim this generous bonus by completing their first deposit.
  •  Welcome Week Freerolls: After completing a minimum deposit of $10, new players are awarded seven $100 freerolls which can be used to compete with fellow new players. The freerolls are only available for the first seven days after a new player signs up.

Overall, we think new players are handsomely rewarded and given ample opportunity to sample all that WSOP has to offer.

What promotions are there at WSOP?

In addition to the welcome bonus, returning players get access to a packed promotions calendar with unique offers, including:

  • Lucky 7’s Week: Play cash poker games for a chance to win a $215 tournament ticket.
  • $100K Sundays: Compete with fellow players for a chance to win a share of a guaranteed $100k prize pool ($320 buy-in).
  • BLAST Leaderboards: BLAST is a 3-handed, Texas Hold’em Sit & Go poker variant. Fans of this game can walk away with a $1,000 cash prize if they make it to the top of the leaderboard.
  • Player of the Year Tournament: This is WSOP’s most iconic and popular tournament. It’s run annually and brings together competing players from all around the world until only one is left standing – at the very top of the rankings. The top player bags a cash prize of $10,000, $1,500 WSOP tournament tickets, and an exclusive WSOP Player of the Year Ring.

WSOP runs a busy promotions calendar with offers that will appeal to all poker player styles. Kudos to the team for curating an exciting offer line-up.

What Games Can I Play at WSOP?

WSOP players can try their luck on a wide selection of poker games and tournaments, where they compete with fellow players for the cash pot.

What poker variants are available at WSOP?

Players will find Texas Hold’em, Omaha, 7 card stud, and other variants of poker, as well as various tables, to suit all budgets. For example, complete beginners to poker-playing can learn the ropes on tables with a low $0.01 buy-in. Tables come in several set-ups, including Cash Games, Sit & Go, Turbo and Tournaments.

Meanwhile, poker pros can flex their skills on tables with higher buy-ins and tournaments.

Can I play any other games at WSOP?

Poker players can try their luck on a mini-game-style slot. The slot setup is a simple, 3-line, fruit machine-themed slot that players can spin for the chance to bag exclusive rewards like free chips to use on poker tables.

The WSOP platform also houses a handful of casino games, including blackjack.

Register at WSOP

There are two ways to play at WSOP, for free, or with real money. To play for free, players simply need to click on the green Play for free button on the WSOP home page. This will launch the free-to-play client where players can play a variety of poker games like Texas Hold’em and Omaha Poker using WSOP chips.

Players who run out of the initial set of free chips can purchase WSOP chips using USD to continue playing. However, these chips cannot be exchanged for real money at any point.

To register for a real-money poker play account, players need to download the WSOP application client on a desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile. To do this:

  • Download the app from the WSOP home page
  • Fill out the registration form with personal details
  • Complete identity verification as requested

Deposit And Withdraw Money at WSOP

Depositing and withdrawing funds to and from your WSOP account can be done through several payment methods. The banking options available to players depends on the state and include:

  • Credit/Debit cards (deposit only)
  • PayPal
  • PayNearMe (deposit only)
  • E-Check ACH

New Jersey, Nevada and Pennsylvania players can also deposit and withdraw via Cash at Cage at specific brick-and-mortar casinos, such as Caesars Atlantic City in New Jersey.

How to deposit money at WSOP

To deposit funds to your account:

  • Launch the WSOP app
  • Click on the Cashier tab and select Deposit
  • Select your preferred payment method
  • Enter the transaction details
  • Confirm to deposit the funds to your account

Minimum deposit at WSOP

WSOP’s minimum deposit sits at just $10, making it ideal for low-rollers.

Withdraw money at WSOP

Withdrawing funds is done through the same cashier screen as depositing. When it’s time to cash out, all you need to do is:

  • Launch the WSOP app
  • Click on the Cashier tab and select Withdraw
  • Select your preferred payment method
  • Enter the transaction details
  • Confirm the withdrawal transactions

Depending on the withdrawal method selected, it can take up to 6 business days for the withdrawn funds to appear in the player’s account.

Wagering Requirements at WSOP

Wagering requirements at WSOP work differently from the requirements at most online casinos. At WSOP, players can claim Pending Bonuses and Immediate Bonuses using APPs (see our section on the WSOP loyalty program for more information on how these work).

To release Pending Bonuses, players need to earn 100 APPs to claim $10 in bonus funds.

Meanwhile, Immediate Bonuses and winnings from these bonuses can be collected at the rate of 2.5 Bonus Points for every $1 of the received bonus amount.

Wagering requirements must be met within 60 days of being credited, which is a very reasonable time frame.

Should I Play at WSOP?

If you are a poker player or plan on becoming one, then yes – you should definitely consider WSOP as your gaming platform.

Not only does WSOP provide the convenience of online gaming, but it brings together a large community of poker players from around the world to test their skills and compete in tournaments with some of the most generous and frequent prizes we’ve seen.

As with every platform, WSOP does have some downsides. For example, there’s the fact that WSOP real-money poker play is only available to US residents in 4 states. There’s also the issue of the missing 24/7 live chat service. But that’s pretty much it in terms of shortcomings.

Players who sign up are in for a first-class poker-playing experience that includes one of the largest variety of poker games and some of the best software the gaming industry has to offer.

Needless to say, we highly recommend you check out WSOP during your next gaming session!

Are there any special features at WSOP?

  • Scores of exclusive tournaments, including the annual Player of the Year Tournament with a top cash prize of $10,000
  • Multi-tier loyalty program which can be linked to the Caesars Rewards Account
  • Play-for-free option for new players looking to get some poker playing experience before betting real money

What is the welcome bonus at WSOP?

$50 free play upon completing sign-up and a first deposit, as well as a 100% match deposit bonus of up to $1,000. New players also get tickets to seven $100 freerolls, which are exclusive to newcomers.

What games are available at WSOP?

WSOP houses several poker game variants, including Texas Hold’em, Omaha, Stud, as well as a variety of themed and seasonal poker tournaments.

Does WSOP accept US players?

Yes, WSOP accepts real-money poker players from 4 US states New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Nevada and Michigan.

Does WSOP accept USD?

Yes, it does.

Who owns WSOP?

WSOP is owned by Caesars Interactive Entertainment, a world-renowned land-based and online casino operator which runs the famous Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas and Caesars Online Sportsbook & Casino.

Where is WSOP licensed?

WSOP is licensed in the USA.

Is WSOP a scam?

No, WSOP is a legitimate casino operated by a company that is registered and licensed in the USA, and which runs several reputable land-based and online casinos.

Is WSOP a good choice for US players?

Yes, we think so! Let’s take a closer look at this platform’s details next so you can then decide if WSOP’s features align with your personal playing style and preferences.

Is there a Loyalty program at WSOP?

Yes, there is! All players are automatically subscribed to WSOP’s loyalty program, which players can progress through by earning Action Player Points (APPs). There are several ways to earn APPs, but the main way is through playing poker, where players are awarded 2 APPs for every $1 in rake collected in ring games. APPs are also awarded in tournaments.

This approach to earning APPs is a player-centric move, as players are rewarded per raked hand. At some other poker platforms, players gain loyalty points on won hands only.

The loyalty levels and associated point multiplier benefit at WSOP are as follows:

  • Player (0+ APPs) – no point multiplier
  • Bronze (200+ APPs) – 4x point multiplier
  • Silver (750 APPs) – 10x point multiplier
  • Elite (1,500 APPs) – 12.5x point multiplier

The program also comes with a yearly, Champions Club Level (20,000 APPs) which provides a whopping 16x point multiplier.

To make the program even more appealing, players can link their WSOP loyalty account with their Caesars Rewards account. This means players can opt for both brick-and-mortar as well as online casino play and reap rewards from both at the same time.

How is the user experience at WSOP?

The WSOP site and app have been built with both novice and veteran poker players in mind. The main site contains tons of information, from tutorials and step-by-step playing guides for new players, to tips and tricks on how to improve gameplay for more seasoned players. A neat feature while playing on a poker table is the statistics bar, which shows the statistical likelihood of achieving a specific hand, both at the flop and river stages.

Even with a lot of information in one place, we found the platform easy to navigate and intuitive. One shortcoming though is the overall aesthetic of the WSOP brand. We found some site pages or screens to be too busy with images, and the font can appear quite small at times. Overall, it feels the site is due for an aesthetic upgrade. However, in terms of site function, WSOP excels on every level.

How can I get in touch with WSOP customer support?

Players can get in touch with a WSOP customer support agent by clicking on the Help tab in the app. This will launch the WSOP support centre on the players’ internet browser. Players can then look through the centre for some of the most popular FAQs and common queries. If players don’t find the answer they’re looking for, they can send an email via a contact form to a support agent.

We were quite surprised to see a platform of this size and calibre without a live chat service. After all, online casino and poker players have generally come to expect 24/7 access to a live customer support agent. We hope this much-needed feature is added to the site soon.

Is WSOP mobile-friendly?

Yes, WSOP players can download an app to play on their preferred device, whether that be on a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile.

I consider myself to be an avid guitar player, sports enthusiast, and a big fan of blackjack and social casinos. My task is pretty easy to resume.. make sure you are well informed on all US casinos that might interest you. I've been writing reviews based on my experiences for a while and I'm happy to say that my work will truly help you even if it's just by telling you the legal gambling laws of a state or the top games that are trending right now!
