The versus contest lets you choose two players and predict their performance in a pre-selected stat category. Each player has a predetermined likelihood of earning points. Correctly guessing a well-performing underdog earns you more fantasy points than going with a star player.

The Android version is also well-rated, with 3.8 stars out of 5. Although most of the reviews are positive, users have found many things that need tweaking: limited payment options, clunky overlays and some of the features not working at all.

You have to be physically within the state borders when depositing and entering paid contests. In addition, ThriveFantasy is live in Canada.

ThriveFantasy was founded in 2016 in New York by the current CEO, Adam Weinstein. The legal name of the company is Props2Fantasy.com, Inc. The firm is backed by investment companies, such as New York Angels and Yolo Investments. 

According to Crunchbase, ThriveFantasy has raised $3.6 million in funding so far, with the last funding round taking place in March of 2022. It has also partnered up with a poker content platform PokerGO. 

In April 2022, ThriveFantasy announced a partnership with a crypto transaction platform and US-regulated exchange FTX. According to Yahoo Finance, the deal between a crypto exchange and a DFS platform was the first of its kind. The payment solution was supposed to go live in May of 2022. However, at the time of writing, crypto isn't yet listed among payment methods at ThriveFantasy, meaning there has been a delay.

Thrive Fantasy's Overall User Experience and Interface

ThriveFantasy is a popular alternative to the two leading daily fantasy sports platforms, DraftKings and FanDuel. It offers a solid user experience on both the mobile and desktop, with dedicated mobile apps to boot.
