Play against the house

At ParlayPlay, you can make predictions on player props. These are usually over-under type of player stats about their performance. You can select 2, 3 or 4 props, and the more of them you get right, the better the payout.

EXAMPLE: In a single hockey match of Rangers against Lightning, you can make predictions about the following stats:

• Igor Shsterkin saves over or under 33.50 shots
• Andrei Vasilevskiy saves over or under 28.50 shots
• Chris Kreider gets over or under 5.25 ParlayPoints
• Ondrej Palat gets over or under 5.25 ParlayPoints

Wait a minute, what the heck are ParlayPoints? ParlayPoints are an accumulated stat for a player, based on their performance. Some actions such as goals, saves and assists increase the stat, whereas goals against decrease the value. For example, in ice hockey, the athletes earn ParlayPoints like this:

• Saves: 0.25
• Goals: 3.00
• Assists: 2.00
• Blocked shots: 1.00
• Goals against: -1.00
• Shots on Goal: 0.50
• Fights: 1.00
• Hits: 1.00

At ParlayPlay, you select 2, 3 or 4 props and choose your Entry Fee from $1 to $25. You can hedge your bets and have a smaller payout if you miss one of your predictions. Alternatively, you can go all in: get more money if you win, but lose your entire entry fee if only one of your guesses goes wrong.

Here's how the payout structure works:

• 2 props: 2/2 correct -> 2x payout, 1/2 -> 0.5x payout or All in 2/2 correct ->  3x payout
• 3 props: 3/3 correct -> 3x payout, 2/3 -> 1.25x payout or All in 3/3 correct ->  6x payout

Free2Play Contests

ParlayPlay also offers Free2Play challenges. There's no entry fee and you compete against hundreds of other players for cash prizes. 

For example, in a NBA Finals Game 4 with Warriors against Celtics, there are a total of $100 worth of cash prizes for the top 50 participants. The winner takes home a cool $24 main prize. It may not sound so much, but remember: there's no entry fee.

In a Free2Play contest, you earn points by making 8 predictions about the game. These are player props based on their scores, assists and other performance. They carry different point values, depending on how accurate your guess needs to be:

• Simple over-under props are worth 100 points.

ParlayPlay is an interesting newcomer to the already saturated DFS market. Unlike many other daily fantasy sports sites, ParlayPlay lets fans make predictions on individual player stats within a single game.
