Marshall Money is a Wild West-themed slot that was created by Blue Ring Studios and released by Games Global. With five reels and three rows, my Marshall Money found a 96% RTP and 15,472x maximum win.

Only released in March 2025, I have been patiently waiting to play this high-volatility slot machine and write this slot review. The game boasts cash collect, multiplier, and free spin features. I have heard a lot about the Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand jackpots that can be won.

This is one of 1,300+ titles from Games Global. Others I have enjoyed from this Isle of Man-based developer are Immortal Romance and Mega Moolah.

Marshall Money Gameplay

I entered the Marshall Money slot to find a traditional 5x3 grid. However, I quickly found that this can grow to 5x5. Three or more matching symbols must land on one of the 10 paylines to earn a payout. Wild and scatter symbols can land as a piggy bank and gold coins, respectively. I discovered that the wild can only land on reel 5 during the base game and can replace others to help form a winning combination. It also helps trigger the cash collect feature. In my opinion, this is the slot's main selling point. This is because a jackpot meter appears on the left side of the screen. This allows you to win jackpots from 100x to 5,000x your bet.

I found traditional royal symbols that offer low payouts. Higher payouts are activated when cactus, cowboy boot, sheriff badge, and marshal symbols land on a payline. Bets are accepted from £0.20 to £5, a range I feel best caters to beginners and players with smaller budgets.

I spun the reels several times through the Marshall Money free demo. With a £1 stake, it took me five spins to earn my first payout. This was £2.50. My biggest win from 50 spins was £10.

Theme and Story of the Marshall Money Slot

Marshall Money has a Wild West theme. However, I have read others describe the theme as money. Set in cowboy country, the story follows the adventures of a greedy marshal as he travels across the American wilderness.

This high-ranking official will do his utmost to help you win big. There are certainly similarities with some of my favourite Wild West movies from the 1950s and 60s. While this is a familiar theme, the providers in question have done a good job of delivering a relaxed, fun feel.

Graphics, Sounds, and Vibes

Marshall Money has basic cartoon-style graphics. Although the visuals are fun, I would have liked to see more attention to detail and animation. The reels are set on a backdrop of a barren desert and canyon.

Tumbleweed and rock dominate the sandy floor, while you can almost feel the sun that beats down through the screen. A dirt road, a water-starved tree, or a wild horse would have been enough to improve the scene.

The padlock covering the two top rows teases players as to what can be unlocked. The piggy bank symbol comes alive and performs a jig when it lands. My anticipation grew as soon as two dynamite free spins symbols landed on the reels. This is because they grow and look like they are about to explode.

The soundtrack is everything I imagined it would be. The Gunslinger's music is in keeping with the game's theme. It is upbeat and adds a real sense of entertainment. Unlike other slots I have played, it didn’t become annoying at any point. The soundtrack also became faster during the Marshall Money bonus features.

I played the Marshall Money demo using a smartphone and tablet to test its compatibility. What I was greeted by was an optimised game that retains its charm on mobile devices. I particularly enjoyed the experience on my iPhone. This is because the reels fit perfectly on the screen in portrait mode.

Landscape mode is available, but it is not as effective in my opinion. This is because it was more difficult to enjoy the symbol animations because the reels were set further back. While they move depending on which view you use, the spin and other buttons are conveniently placed at all times.

Free Spins

I triggered the free spins bonus when 3+ scatters landed on the reels during the base game. Three, four, or five scatter symbols will result in 10, 12, or 15 free spins, respectively.

Accumulation Trail

The padlock at the top of the grid is unlocked during the bonus game. The number of paylines increases to 20, and each symbol that lands will be added to the accumulation trail. I claimed additional free spins and larger multipliers. 3+ collect symbols will power the trail. I was excited to see that the piggy bank symbol can now appear anywhere, rather than just on the fifth reel. 12 Piggy bank collects will trigger the 10x maximum multiplier.

Unfortunately, the bonus buy feature that is available in some other countries is not available in the UK. This is because of a ban imposed by the Gambling Commission in 2019.

Jackpot Meter

The jackpot meter on the left of the screen grows as you play. Mini, Minor, Major, and Grand jackpots are worth 15x, 50x, 500x, and 5,000x your stake, respectively.

RTP and Volatility

The 96% RTP and high Marshall Money volatility gave me a good idea of what to expect before playing. The RTP is average for this type of game, but the volatility means payouts are bigger and less frequent. Of course, this is just on average, but I often went 5+ spins without earning a payout.

Testing the Marshall Money Slot with a £50 Bankroll

I played for real money as part of completing my Marshall Money review. I set my initial stake to £1 and claimed small wins of £0.50 and £2.50 from my opening 15 spins. After failing to earn a significant payout from my first 50 spins, I doubled my bet size. This helped trigger wins of £14 and £50 from my next 50 wagers.
