I found it easy to get to grips with the Immortal Romance demo because of the straightforward gameplay. There are 243 ways to win. I achieved payouts by landing 3+ matching symbols on adjacent reels. This slot is beginner-friendly because of the £0.30 to £30 bet limits. 

The Immortal Romance logo acts as the wild symbol and can substitute for any other symbol besides scatters. I loved the fact that wins using a wild are doubled. Like other slots games I have reviewed, there are turbo and autoplay options. 

The four main characters, along with prominent items from the gothic castle, act as the high-paying symbols. Low-paying alternatives are 9, 10, J, Q, K, and A. I placed a series of £1 bets when playing the Immortal Romance free demo. 4x matching Aces gave me a payout of 2.50x my bet. This increased to 45x my stake when five Michael symbols landed.

Theme and Story of the Immortal Romance Slot

Immortal Romance has a vampire theme and features four main characters: Amber, Troy, Michael, and Sarah. 

Love and betrayal are at the centre of the storyline. I quickly realised that Troy and Michael are vampires who are looking to woo their two female companions. 

Learning more about the characters helped the storyline make more sense. 

For example, I read that Amber is from a family of witches and has superhuman powers. Meanwhile, Michael is a vampire who has little memory of his life as a human. 

Graphics, Sounds and Vibes

The game is set in a haunted castle, and the visuals quickly establish an eerie atmosphere. I found the reels in front of a background of impressive lancet windows. Angel and gargoyle statues add to the spooky feel and made me feel like I had visited a graveyard. 

It was nice to hear a shift in the soundtrack when the reels are spun. There were even a few additional sound effects that took me by surprise. These included footsteps and a door being slammed shut. Both are in keeping with the theme and add to the level of suspense. 

The music becomes more upbeat when Immortal Romance bonus features are activated. There is even dialogue from a well-spoken gentleman that explains how the bonus works.

As someone who is constantly on the go, I love it when slots work well on mobile devices. This is certainly the case with Immortal Romance. 

While I couldn’t appreciate the same attention to detail as on a desktop, the game loaded quickly and offered excellent performance through my smartphone.

This feature is triggered at random during the base game and has the potential to turn all five reels wild. When I activated this bonus, two reels quickly disappeared. After a spell is cast, smoke appears, and the letters W, I, L, and D are displayed in blood. The entire column then turned wild.
