Graphics, Sounds and Vibes

On a technical level, the sounds and visuals in Pirots 4 are faultless. Given the number of different animations, it’s impressive that gameplay flows so seamlessly.

Pirots 4’s sound design manages to keep up with the pace and energy of the action, which is an accomplishment in itself. Each action, whether that be an abduction, a wormhole, a spaceship system failure or a gas leak, has a sound effect.

Each game mode has its own soundscape. The section ‘Lost in Space’ is accompanied by an intergalactic orchestral soundtrack, whereas the music in ‘Frozen Fury’ has a futuristic feel. ‘The ‘Inferno’ section has a track that makes you feel like you’re fighting the final boss in a video game, which is fitting given the dramatic storyline. Each track takes on a theatrical, swelling quality upon triggering the bonus game, creating a multidimensional, immersive experience.

Game Mode Two: Frozen Fury

Frozen Fury’s feature is Yeti Snack Time. The Yeti is a big white bird that collects the value of each bird, multiplies it, and freezes them. Each time he freezes a bird, his multiplier doubles.

This mode’s coin game has been given an icy makeover and also includes the Yeti character. Aside from this, the mechanics work the same as the Lost In Space version.

Game Mode Three: Inferno

The final mode’s unique feature is Fire Minions. These set any birds they’re next to on fire, which triggers a Fire Marathon (a trail of Mystery Fires). When the Mystery Fires go out, gems or coins are left in their place.

The Inferno Coin game is the most unique of the three, thanks to the Charlie Feature. This is triggered by reaching the ‘Don’t Press’ button and sets fire to every bird on the grid, making them run and collect any adjacent coins.

Bonus Game

The free drops bonus game is unlocked when the birds collect three bonus symbols. If one of these symbols is the super bonus symbol, you’ll be upgraded to the super bonus game.

Space Station

The Space Station is a four-part tube that surrounds the 6x6 grid. Bombs explode in each corner of the Space Station, expanding the grid up to a potential 8x8. Birds will move to collect extra gems by travelling through openings created by the explosions. Up to two feature symbols can be revealed and collected in transit.
