Where is Taptap licensed and available?

Taptap is licensed by the Gaming Control Anjouan. 

An Anjouan license lacks the reputation and credibility of licenses from authorities such as the United Kingdom Gambling Commission (UKGC) or the Maltese Gaming Authority (MGA). KYC and withdrawals

KYC checks appear to be a big issue for a lot of users. 

One reported that Taptap said their “...proof of address is not okay even though [they] uploaded everything that was required.” Their KYC team refused to accept a “[b]ank statement, utility bill and further even a signed document from authorities…”

The customer was unable to withdraw their funds. 

This is a recurring issue. Others also report having legitimate ID refused when wanting to withdraw.

Taptap users don’t have many good things to report, giving the site near-unanimous one-star ratings on trusted review platforms. 

Multiple customers report needing to verify their accounts after big wins, then having their accounts closed for unknown reasons. These customers never managed to recoup their winnings.

Those who have issues are frustrated with Taptap’s customer service bot. 

One “...contacted the customer service multiple times…” and could not get help. The day after the deadline to resolve the issue, the team reportedly replied that “...there’s nothing they can do,” and the user lost their money.

It is unclear whether Taptap accepts Neteller. The FAQ states that they do, but the live chat denies this. We could not get clarity on this.

The Taptap site states that their crypto withdrawals are fast, often within minutes or hours, depending on network conditions and verification requirements. Unfortunately, the main issue with their payments is frequent KYC blocks, even with valid documents.

Multiple online reviewers found that, despite providing the valid documentation required, Taptap refused to verify their withdrawals. Their terms state that users who fail to provide requested information agree to give up the rights to their account balances. Many users report never getting their money.

The primary customer support at Taptap is an AI chatbot. 

When we tested it out, it didn’t answer the question we asked, and answered its own question, which shared one word with our enquiry. The service was unhelpful and contained grammatical errors. 

We asked a selection of other questions, but it was unable to helpfully answer any.

Responsible gambling tools

Taptap offers limited responsible gambling tools. Players can set time-outs, cooling-off periods and self-exclusion; whilst there are some options, they aren’t the most varied. 

Taptap customers have very little control over their limits on the site. Players cannot set any form of loss limits, maximum deposits or reality checks, which would greatly help problem gamblers. 

Users are not allowed to close their account with immediate effect. Your account will be deactivated 30 days after you go through their deactivation process, and this can be cancelled at any time.
