The online casino world has opened a new world to players across the globe with a large variety of games to play.

The creativity that goes into the creation of these games is amazing and often leads to a twist in classic favourites.

Thanks to a creative New Jersey real estate developer, Sal Falciglia, the quirky game of Slingo was created in 1994.

What is Slingo?

Slingo as the name hints is an online single and multi-play game which combines elements from slots and bingo. It’s a massively popular game that has grown and expanded a lot since it was first created those many years ago.

The creator also founded the company Slingo Inc. to create and market games with the Slingo theme which was sold in 2013 to RealNetworks.  They later on sold it to the London based company, Gaming Realms and over the years Slingo has become massively popular in the UK online gambling industry.

Slingo can be found on many online casinos and there are currently over 12 different variations of the game available. These games are known as Slingo Originals and have been developed by Gaming Realms.

How to play the game

If this is the first time you’ve heard of Slingo you might be wondering how on earth you’d play a mix of slots and bingo all in one. Luckily we’re here to give you a quick breakdown on how the game works.

In Slingo you will get 20 turns to spin the numbers below your bingo card. During these spins five numbers will appear and if they are found on your card they will be marked off.

Another fun twist to the Slingo game is that it comes with all the special add-ons of slot games. So as you spin other special items may show up in the number spots below your bingo card.

The Jokers are the wilds and as in slot games they can be used to mark off any number in the column they appear in. If the Joker appears in the center column they can also turn into a Super Joker meaning they can be placed anywhere on the board.

You can also find Devils on the board and if the creature appears he will, unfortunately, cut your score in half. The good news is that if a cherub appears he will cancel the devil’s effect by shooting it with an arrow.

Then there are coins which can grant you automatic points and special free spins features. However, the last four spins of the game must be bought using your points but you can use some of your accumulated free spins to buy those spins.

The player who ends the game with the most points is considered the winner.

An adrenaline rush

During Slingo there is a time limit placed on spins so if you don’t being your spins in the time limit you lose them.

It’s a highly thrilling game that adds a little sport to your bingo and slot game experience to bring you the best rewards.

Play Slingo at the top rated online casinos today and score the most points to be the winner today.
