Global Poker: Maverick O Series

The first-ever Omaha-only series at Global Poker running from June 6th to 12th!

Global Poker, the leading social poker website in the world, has launched a new weekly tournament type. Running from June 6th to 12th, the Maverick O Series is aimed at Omaha fans only. Join thousands of other players in a run for 100 million Gold coins and 250,000 Sweeps coins in guaranteed total prizes.

A Week Full of Omaha Madness

The Maverick O Series runs all week and features a total of 44 events with associated trophies. There are 22 GC (Gold Coin) events with GC 100,000,000 in total prizes, and 22 SC (Sweeps Coin) events with SC 250,000 up for grabs.

The two main events take place on Sunday, June 12th, at 17:00 ET. The 1R1A Gold Coin pot is GC 20M, and the Sweeps Coin pot is SC 50K.

Freeroll Your Way In

The Opening Freeroll for the tournament will be streaming live on Twitch. Head out to the Global Poker Twitch channel to unlock an exclusive password for the Maverick O Series entry. The Opening event starts on Sunday, June 5th at 4:00 PM ET.

The password is good for 24 hours and you can use it to register for the event at the Tournament Lobby section.

The Freeroll tournament comes in two forms: Gold Coin (GC) and Sweeps Coin (SC). Just like the actual tournament starting on the 6th, the Freeroll also comes with some hefty prizes. The GC Freeroll features a total of GC800,000 worth of prizes, and the SC version boasts a prize of SC2,000.

Buy-ins

The Freeroll tournament is free to enter, whereas the later events have increasing buy-ins.

You can earn your way into the next levels of the tournament by playing your cards right or being willing to put the necessary buy-in on the table.

The lowest buy-ins can be found in the Sweeps Coin category, with the lowest SC5.5 buy-in event taking place on Tuesday, June 7th. The highest SC event is the 0 7-C High Roller match which will be played on Sunday, June 12th. The buy-in is set at SC99 and the pot is SC 22,500.

The lowest buy-in for Gold Coins is the 0 2-L with a buy-in set at GC 5,500. In the Gold Coin series, there are two high roller events played on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th respectively. The buy-in for both is GC 99,000 with the total prize guarantee sitting at a whopping GC 9,000,000.

Maverick O Series tournament is all about Omaha and celebrates all the forms this classic poker variation comes in. Enjoy exciting formats such as PLO8, Fixed-Limit, and No-Limit Omaha.

Who Can Play?

The Global Poker Maverick O Series tournament is available for all players in the US and Canada. Unfortunately, players from Washington state and Quebec cannot enter. Players from Idaho are also unable to play with Sweep Coins, and can only participate in Gold Coin play.

You need to be at least 18 years old to participate. Make sure to check any other conditions for eligibility from the tournament website.
