Casino bonuses are awesome, there’s no denying that! They can be a great way to get a bit of extra cash or maybe some free spins to get started with a new casino site. This has the advantage of decreasing the risk in terms of spending and upping the potential reward.

However, they are not without terms and conditions. There are often a few things us players need to do in order to be able to claim our winnings from the bonuses. Even the best casino bonuses have some kind of small print to look out for.

But what are the most important things you need to observe? It’s certain that some terms and conditions are more significant than others. Some of them can almost be disregarded whereas others need to be adhered to strictly.

If you don’t look at the terms of a bonus properly and end up missing something, you could end up with your bonus voided and that would be a complete waste of time (and maybe even money).

So today, we’re going to be taking a look at some of the most common casino bonus fineprint. With this info, you won’t make a mistake next time you take up a casino welcome bonus.

Wagering Requirements

One of the most common casino bonus terms (and one that can cause players the most difficulties) is wagering requirements. To wager a bonus, you need to play through the bonus amount x amount of times,

The wagering requirements themselves refer to how many times this has to be done. And the bottom line is that casino bonuses with super high wagering requirements are just not going to be worth your time.

So, if a wagering requirement is 40x on a bonus that’s worth $100, you’ll need to play through $4000’s worth of bonuses and that can be hard work. Especially when there are other restrictions attached such as minimum odds and choice of games.

The average wagering requirement for a bonus tends to be around the 35x mark. It would have to be something really special to justify being claimed if the wagering is higher than 50x. Even the biggest online casino sites can have these wagering requirements so always keep an eye out for them.

Time Limits & Bonus Expiry

Sometimes, you might have to claim your welcome bonus within a certain period of time before it becomes void. So for example, if it is a deposit bonus, you’ll need to place the qualifying deposit (and enter the bonus code if there is one) within a certain period of time.

There is another type of time limit to look out for too, and that’s the amount of time you have to actually use the bonus. You might see ‘7 day expiry’. This means you’ll need to use all your free spins or bonus cash within 7 days or else it will be gone.

Min and Max Deposit Limits

Any deposit bonus will be likely to have a min and max deposit to meet. If your deposit isn’t as high as the min deposit on your first deposit then your chance to claim the bonus will be gone.

If you place a deposit that’s too high, the same thing will happen. However, this is less likely as usually, the max deposit is going to be pretty high. However, it’s still worth keeping an eye on.

Never miss the min and max deposits of any bonus!
