The heavy metal era grew out of the rock bands of the ’60s and ’70s, where talented yet troubled musicians defied the status quo to bring us music that reflected both their, and often times our own, inner turmoil! The most fertile ground for this awakening of the dark side of our nature through music was the United Kingdom. 

Given a rich history of Druidism, witchcraft and an overarching interest in spiritualism that is such an intrinsic part of Britannic culture it is no surprise that this fusion of mysticisms and music blossomed there.

Since then heavy metal has spawned many versions of itself including speed metal, doom metal, black metal and many others. However, there is something soulful and eternally alluring about classic gothic metal. 

The House of Doom slot revels in this genre musically, while employing iconic nineties metal imagery to set the tone visually.
