NetEnt sets new records and reveals what’s to come in 2017

NetEnt stats for 2016The final year-end 2016 and Q4 stats for NetEnt are finally in and they truly reveal a lot regarding the development and the direction the iGaming operator is heading in to.
  

Quarterly figures  

According to the Q4 2016 stats, NetEnt had a massive 23.9% revenue increase to SEK 400 million. Their operating profit had an increase of 28.1% of up to SEK 156 million and their operating margin experienced a massive jump of 37.7%.
 

"The iGaming operator also experienced a 29.6% jump
in profit after tax of SEK 150 million."

Yearly figures  

NetEnt's revenues increased by 28.5% to SEK 1,455 million while their operating profit increased by 33.4% to SEK 536 million. The yearly operating margin went up to 35.5% and their profit after tax increased with a massive 34.9% to SEK 504 million.
 

Staying in the lead  

In the 4th Quarter, NetEnt signed 13 new customer agreements and launched 12 new customer’s casinos. Over the course of 2016, NetEnt signed 45 new customer agreements, launched 34 new customer's casinos and secured 31 more signed customers for 2017.
 

Other achievements  

NetEnt signed a retail deal with Gauselmann for a gaming machines market in Italy and entered a retail agreement with Paddy Power for gaming machines in Great Britain. They also signed with Codere for online games distribution in Mexico. NetEnt further launched in Bulgaria and Portugal’s regulated markets and signed a distribution contract for online games in Mexico.
 

Game-changing breakthroughs  

NetEnt developed a mobile casino solution for Live Casino Roulette. They also released a game trilogy known as NetEnt Rocks of which one of the games, Guns ‘n Roses, won the best game of the year award at the EGR Operator Awards in London!
 

What does the future hold?  

While President and CEO Per Eriksson called 2016 another exciting year for NetEnt thanks to new record levels in revenues, earnings and cash flow and also praised Great Britain for becoming their “largest geographical market for the first time”, one can only wonder what the feature holds.  

According to Eriksson, 2017 will be a year of continued growth and will see the release of a variety of quality new games. Other launches will include UK, mobile casinos, and an expansion to North America in the pipeline.
