One of the most terrifying horror films ever released, the American slasher film, Halloween is coming to an online casino near you!

The horror of Halloween

Directed by John Carpenter in 1978, Halloween starred actors such as Donald Pleasence and Jamie Lee Curtis. The film takes place in Haddonfield, Illinois, a fictional town that encountered the horror of Michael Myers. In the film, Myers kills his sister as a young six-year-old boy and then returns to the town 15 years later with a hunger for more carnage.

“Halloween is a true classic and set the standard for modern horror films. It was immeasurably influential in the slasher genre of movies, so it is great to be working with such an iconic and respected brand," said David Reynolds, a games publisher at Microgaming. "Embracing all the elements of what made the movie such a success, our games team are busy developing a slot for release later in the year.”

Halloween was only the first in a long line of movies in the franchise, with a total of 10 being created after the first movie's its initial release.

Microgaming's love for film

It's no surprise that Microgaming has decided to bring this film to life once more. After the release of many television and movie-based slots, it's obvious that Microgaming enjoys a challenge!

TV and film creations such as Game of Thrones, Jurassic Park, Terminator 2, Hellboy, and many others can already be played at top Microgaming casinos.

In order to truly do this cult classic any justice, Microgaming needed to team up with Compass International Pictures. Thanks to signing an agreement with Creative Licensing Corporation, the slot will also feature images of the original cast as well as the film's soundtrack.

“We are excited to team up with Creative Licensing and Microgaming to bring Michael Myers and Halloween home to all of our loyal fans in the best possible ways through top licensees who create products we feel honour the character, film, and franchise," said Ryan Freimann, SVP of Compass.

Fans of this horror film and Microgaming can look forward to the release of this new online slot later in 2017.
