New Safer Gambling Standard to be launched at ICE London 2019

The ICE London is just around the corner and is also the perfect platform for the launch of the new Safer Gambling Standard. The conference is attended by top stakeholders from the global gambling industry each year making it the perfect place to get the conversation started. GamCare’s top priority is raising awareness and starting the conversation on how to properly protect customers and oversee their welfare.  

GamCare’s Development Director, Mike Kenward, said that they will be doing a full rollout of their new standard in the conference’s Customer Protection Zone.  

Customer remains priority 

In a recent statement Kenward said that operators should protect their customers because if they don’t the customers will go somewhere where they are protected. The industry is constantly growing and with it currently at an all-time high in popularity there has never been a better time for companies to focus on their processes. Kenward continued to say that they are hoping the industry will embrace the Safe Gambling Standard. Not just because it is the right thing to do from an ethical point of view but also from a business point of view.  

The new standards have already been tried and tested on several operators but there will still be an official launch at the conference. This launch serves as an opportunity for GamCare to explain the importance of the new safety standards to a global audience. During the launch GamCare will also shine light on operator who have already implemented the new standards and point out the benefits they’ve reaped from it.  

A few steps to follow 

In order to fully benefit from the new standards all operators will be expected to undergo GamCare’s new accreditation process for the new standards. Kenward stated that the main focus is to implement responsible gambling into the culture of the company.  

The new standards were created by integrating years of research and all GamCare has learned by working with casino operators from across the globe.  

GamCare also stated that any money obtained from sales of their Safe Gambling Standard program will be poured into the company’s charity.
