NetEnt BannerIf you love online casino games then it will come as no surprise that online casino giant and Swedish software supplier, Net Entertainment, recently added another award to their already growing collection of achievements.

Known for popular games such as Starburst and Gonzo’s Quest, the leading provider of high-quality online casino games, won the prestigious Digital Innovation of the Year award at the first ever Global Gaming Awards 2014 ceremony. 

The Global Gaming Awards 2014, held at the Venetian Palazzo Congress Center in Las Vegas on the 29th of September, brought together both the online and offline worlds of casino gaming to nominate and honour the very best in the industry.  This particular award celebrates the online gaming software developer’s capabilities, knowledge and desire.

The large number of companies that were nominated, including IGT and Microgaming, were judged on their achievements of the past year. From this extensive list a winner in each of the 12 categories were chosen by a panel of 50 independent industry leaders, including Net Entertainment’s own CEO Per Eriksson. 

NetEnt beat Colossus Bets, Core Gaming, NextGen Gaming, Odobo, Coral, Income Access, Yggdrasil and FSB Technology including runner-up Williams Interactive to be proudly claim the 2014 award. 

Per Eriksson, President and CEO of Net Entertainment had this to say about their win: “NetEnt prides itself on innovation and it’s an honour to be recognised for our work at the Global Gaming Awards. We strongly encourage innovation and frequently organise internal activities to enhance it and our dedication to creativity allows us to continue to drive the online casino market forward.”

Net Entertainment was also nominated, and subsequently shortlist for, the Digital Industry Supplier of the Year and Digital Product of the Year categories.

The Global Gaming Awards was created by Gambling Insider in association with G2E Vegas, The American Gaming Association and Reed Exhibitions.
