Online slot machinesMGM Resorts international has launched a platform that allows resort visitors to take part in online slot tournaments for fantastic cash prizes. This platform is called easyPLAY Mobile Tournaments and it allows you to play via your smartphone, tablet or computer. The product has been approved for use in the state by the Nevada Gaming Control Board.

“Although it does not offer a full suite of games like that found in New Jersey, it is a massive improvement of what is available now in Nevada.”

In the past, online poker was the only option which is limited to the WSOP network. The product was created by MGM and mobile gaming tech company, oneLIVE inc. It allows users to play against each other in regularly scheduled slot tournaments for prizes. To play you have to be 21 or older and you have to be a U.S. resident, and you have to be at one of the nine MGM Resorts to participate. In order to play you have to be connected to the resort’s Wi-Fi, you cannot play via your cell phone data plan.

Interactive tables

MGM has also installed InteractivePro Tables that are located in the nine resorts which allow you to play even without your mobile device. At the moment they have a number of slot and bingo products you can choose from and in a recent press release MGM has said that more offerings are heading your way.

The idea developed when MGM decided to dip their toe in the waters of the real-money online gambling pool at Nevada casinos. And they know that people might want to have their gambling fun while doing other things at the same time. According to the Senior Vice President of Business Development for MGM, Tom Mikulich, the easyPLAY Mobile Tournaments allows guests to enjoy the best Las Vegas has to offer while still being able to enjoy their favourite games.

The tournaments are said to be extremely user-friendly and it provides players with a variety of game options that include slots and bingo. It also brings in an element of friendly competition while the players can still enjoy a drink at the bar or catch a tan by the pool.

The slot tournaments are just the beginning and the Nevada Gaming Policy Committee met in May to look more closely at the online gambling product available in the state. The release of this mobile platform is just the beginning according to executive director of Interactive Gaming Development at MGM Resorts, Lovell Walker. Keep your eyes peeled as there is plenty more to come for the Nevada online gambling world.
