Hard Rock Casino NewsAtlantic City is about to become the hardest rocking city in the world with live music being the ultimate promise from the soon to launch, Hard Rock Casino

The casino will be opening its doors for the first time this summer and is said to become the East Coast musical mecca.

Their aim is to ensure over 200 nights of its first year in business will be filled with live music shows.

The concert venue of the former Trump Taj Mahal will be enlarged to make space for 7,000 seats instead of the 5,200 it originally had. The global gambling, entertainment and resort company promises everything bigger, bolder and brighter.

What to expect from Hard Rock Casino

Earlier this month Hard Rock International CEO and veteran Atlantic casino executive, Jim Allen told an eager crowd that the casino will bring more live music than the city has ever seen before.

Allen is eager to turn up the heat and add some beat to regular days and not just Saturday evenings. The casino will be the next big concert venue where music lovers and gamblers can unite.

Executive director of Levenson Institute of Gaming, Hospitality & Tourism at New Jersey’s Stockton University, Rummy Pandit believes that the busy entertainment schedule of Hard Rock Casino will expand Atlantic City’s appeal to tourists.

With the plan being to host over 200 shows in the first year it will definitely prove to be big competition for other venues and casinos offering musical entertainment. As with the nearly 15,000 seat Boardwalk Hall that hosted 11 big-name concerts in their previous year as well as extra stage shows and non-musical events.

What will set Hard Rock Casino apart from other venues is that entertainment will not be limited to weekends but will also be added to off-peak and mid-week times which will be a good enough reason to make visitors stay just a little longer. According to Allen the entertainment schedule could persuade visitors to turn their two-night getaway into a long weekend or even mid-week getaway which could also lead to higher income and make a huge difference for the city’s lodging, retail, gaming, tourism and food and beverage businesses.

What to expect from the line-up

It is clear that Atlantic City will soon become the ultimate go-to destination for anyone who wants to enjoy some live music. The Gaming Research Centre Director at the University of Nevada Las Vegas, David Schwartz believes that a diverse line-up will attract a larger crowd or more diverse groups.

Once people start visiting Atlantic City to get their music and gaming fix they are bound to continue doing so in the years to come.

With Hard Rock being a household name and the brand in possession of the world’s largest collection of music memorabilia it’s bound to be a gigantic success from its very first day. Plenty of their collection has already made its way to the Atlantic City facility which includes a dress worn by Maria Carey and an acoustic guitar signed by Jon Bon Jovi.

In honour of its theme the business cards of the casino will have a musical theme with each starting with the phrase “Please allow me to introduce myself”. Rolling Stones fans will know this as the opening line for their classic song “Sympathy for the Devil”. The employees will each have a name tag in the shape of a guitar pick.

When it comes to the live shows performers will range from top A-list stars to new acts. In honours of the former Trump executive who died in a helicopter crash Hard Rock will keep the name of the main venue, Mark Etess Arena. Visitors can expect a diverse musical offering that will suit the needs of all with various taste.

As an added incentive of why Hard Rock Casino will blow Atlantic City away Allen mentioned signing Jay-Z and Beyoncé to perform at the Hard Rock Stadium.
