Virtual Horse Racing introduced in Las Vegas casinos

Las Vegas CasinoIt has been announced that two Las Vegas casinos under the banner of William Hill will now be offering virtual horse race betting. This means that players get to experience the similar thrill they do when they bet on actual horse races without having to deal with long queues and crowds of people.

Many players seem conflicted about the idea of virtual horse race betting, but they’re not against trying it. The Plaza and Silver Seven Casino offers virtual races every five minutes with included commentary from the one and only Tom Durkin.

"Some players feel that this is an attempt to replace actual horse racing but according to officials, virtual reality horse racing was brought in as a time-filler for those fanatics who don’t like waiting."

The company’s spokesperson, Michael Grodsky, has said that this is just a trial. The company wants to see how well it fits and if it is successful, then they will start expanding virtual racing to other locations all over the state.

Grodsky is unsure about what percentage virtual horse racing will provide on Nevada’s books, but he did mention that a similar product used in the United Kingdom made up 18% of horse racing revenue. Successful virtual horse racing endeavours could mean a much higher revenue for Las Vegas casinos as they adapt these new products.
