Flag of GermanyTop online casino operator Guts.com has confirmed that it will no longer be able to offer its services to German customers as of the 16th of February 2015.

Due to a recent judicial ruling, only online sports betting is currently permitted within Germany. After a recent court case involved a player being fined €65,000 for playing at an unauthorised site, many online casinos have decided to withdraw from Germany.

Guts.com players have received emails telling them that accounts by German players would be locked as of the 16th February. Now that the lockdown of the accounts is in effect, the only way to request a withdrawal from closed accounts is via live chat or email.

Management of Guts.com recently sent out emails with the following information to their loyal customers:

"We regret to inform you that due to a recent verdict in Germany, where a German customer was fined for playing on a foreign online gaming website, Guts.com will no longer be able to offer our services to German customers.

All of us here at Guts are terribly sorry for any inconvenience this has caused & we would like to thank all our German players & affiliates for participating & contributing.”
