Casino Table Games have a rich, lengthy history. In fact, many games date back hundreds of years. Traditionally, casino games have been limited to parties and casinos, but now, the internet has become another popular outlet for casino table game enthusiasts!
There are some elements that cannot be replicated in online casino table games – the personal element of interacting with the croupiers and other bettors, the smells, the sights, the sounds. But online casinos have a few benefits; primarily the fact that you can play your favourite casino table games from home, without the hassle of driving out to the strip!
Today, we'll explore a few of the best casino table games, perfect for whatever setting you choose, whether it's virtual setting or a traditional land-based casino.
Baccarat is a high-stakes table game. In brick and mortar casinos, the Baccarat tables are often in their own separate room.
It's a simple game and there are a few different varieties of Baccarat. To play, the bettor must decide to put his or her money behind the player's hand, the banker's/dealer's hand or you can predict a tie.
The goal is to get 2 or 3 cards, with a total of 9. Card values are as follows:
• Cards 2-9 get their numerical value;
• 10s, Jacks, Queens and Kings are worth 0 points;
• Aces are worth one point.
If your cards add up to a two-numeral total, you must add those two numerals together to get a final figure. So if you have a 12, you must add 1 and 2 to get a value of 3.
The pay-out depends on who wins and it depends on the precise variety of Baccarat that's being played.
3 Card Poker
Three-card poker is a very popular table game, where the player does have a bit of influence over the game's outcome. First, you must select your Ante bet. Then, you'll be dealt three cards; three cards also go to the dealer. Then, you must look at your hand and decide whether you'll play and match your Ante bet or fold and forfeit your Ante bet.
The ranking is fairly similar to Texas Hold 'em in that straight flush → three of a kind → straight → flush → pair. If your hand beats the dealer's, you'll get paid out evens on both the Ante and Play bets. If the dealer does not have a Queen-high or better, the Play bet is returned and the Ante bet is honored.
Craps is a rather complex casino table game, but if you can master this game, you'll enjoy some of the best odds of winning!
Stated simply, craps is played as follows: each player rolls two dice and if they total 7 or 11, everyone who placed a bet on Pass Line, backing the shooter, will win. If the shooter rolls a 2, 3 or 12, backers lose their money. If the two dice total anything other than a 2, 3, 7, 11 or 12, then the total is considered a “point.” In the case of a point, the shooter must roll again. The subsequent roll must be the same numeral as the point. You must roll the point number before you roll a 7; if you roll a 7, the shooter's backers lose, whereas the “Don't Pass” backers will win. If you roll the point number before you roll a 7, then the shooter's backers win!
There are also other more complex variants of this game.
Roulette is a true game of chance, where the bettors rely solely on luck. Roulette comes in two common styles: American and European, but the basic concept is more or less the same across the board.
In European Roulette, there's a wheel with numbers from 0 to 36, placed on blocks that alternate between two colors: red and black, except for 0, which is green. In American Roulette, the wheel is the same, except it has a 0 and a 00, which increases the house's odds. For this reason, the European variety is favored among players since you have a better chance of winning.
Playing is simple: you must predict where the ball will land!
Blackjack dates back to 18th Century France and today, it remains among the most popular casino table games, both online and in traditional casinos.
Playing is simple: You must try to get a hand as close to 21 as possible, without going over. It's a game that's fun for novices and more experienced players too.
Casino War is another popular an easy-to-learn card game that uses 6 52-card decks. It's also favored since it's the only game whereby the player has better odds, as you can beat the dealer more than 50% of the time.
Aces ranked as a high card; this aside, they're ranked the same way that you would rank the cards in a game of poker.
